The Department of General Administration, Government of Goa, on December 15, 2025, notified regarding the Paid Holiday being the Polling Day.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The aforesaid holiday shall be a “paid holiday”, in addition to the holidays indicated in the Notification No. 37/3/2024-GAD-III/4247 dated 22-10-2024 published in the Official Gazette, Series II No. 30 dated 24-10-2024 to every person employed in the following establishment and entitled to vote at the aforesaid Zilla Panchayat General Elections:-
• Industrial workers of the State of Goa;
• Daily wage workers of the Government Departments and State Government Industrial Departments;
• Commercial and industrial workers of private establishments in the State of Goa;
• All private establishments;
• Daily wage/casual workers employed in any business, trade, industrial undertakings or any other establishments.
