The Government of Uttar Pradesh, on November 04, 2025, notified the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development (Assessment, Levy and Collection of Impact Fee) (First Amendment) Rules, 2025, to amend the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development (Assessment, Levy and Collection of Impact Fee) Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•The amendment substitutes Rule 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development (Impact Fee) Rules, 202,4 by refining and expanding key definitions. It notably provides detailed and comprehensive definitions of “Building” and “Built-up area,” clearly distinguishing master plan built-up areas from building-wise covered areas.
•They shall be applicable to all the development areas in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
They shall come into force with effect from November 04, 2025.
