The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL), on December 16, 2025, notified regarding the Inter-Depository Transfers and Penalty for Non-Movement of Payout Securities on Trading Holidays.
DPs are advised to take note of the following:
• List of Trading Holidays for the calendar year 2026, as mentioned below on which no IDTs will be exchanged between the depositories and no penalty will be levied for non-movement of payout securities on the said trading holidays.
• CDSL system will not allow to setup/upload IDTs with execution date as the date of below- mentioned trading holidays.
• Delivery Instruction Slips (DIS) for inter-depository transfers with execution date as date of the following trading holidays should not be accepted.
• Although inter-depository transfers will not be exchanged on trading holidays, CDSL system will be available to users for all other types of transactions including setup/upload of future dated IDTs on Trading Holiday except January 26, 2026, August 15, 2026, and October 02, 2026.
