The Government of Telangana, on December 17, 2025, issued a notification regarding Paid National and Festival Holidays for Shops & Establishments in 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•Under Section 31 of the Telangana Shops & Establishments Act, 1988, the Joint Commissioner of Labour, Ranga Reddy Zone, has notified National, Festival, and Other Holidays with wages for employees in shops and establishments for the year 2026.
•The notification applies to establishments across multiple districts, including Rangareddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, and others.
•The declared holidays include Sankranti/Pongal, Republic Day, Ramzan, May Day, Telangana State Formation Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti.
•All listed holidays are mandatory paid holidays for eligible employees during the calendar year 2026.
