The Government of Kerala, on June 25, 2025, notified regarding the PRAN registration procedures of employees covered under the National Pension System (NPS) who enter service and immediately proceed on leave without allowances.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Employees covered under the National Pension System who, immediately on entering service, proceed on leave without allowances under KSR Part I, Appendices XII A, XII B and XII C, shall mandatorily complete the PRAN registration procedures through the concerned Treasury, within the time limit prescribed in paragraph VI of the Government Order cited above, before proceeding on such leave without allowances, and the same shall be updated in iSPARK.
• In respect of employees proceeding on leave without allowances under KSR Part I, Appendices XII A, XII B and XII C, and employees continuing under suspension or unauthorized absence, the responsible Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) shall submit an application to the concerned Treasury, without delay, for deactivation of the PRAN.
• Immediately on the employee rejoining service after leave without allowances, suspension or unauthorized absence, the responsible DDO shall submit an application to the concerned Treasury for reactivation of the employee’s PRAN.
