The Department of Fire and Emergency Services, West Bengal, on December 09, 2025, issued a notification regarding the extension of Fire Safety Certificate validity for Government Primary Schools.
The following has been stated: -
•The West Bengal Government has extended the validity of Fire Safety Certificates/Fire NOCs for government primary schools from 3 years to 5 years under the West Bengal Fire Services Act, 1950.
•The decision, taken to promote ease of doing business and public service efficiency, comes into effect immediately.
