Labour Compliance The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on December 12, 2025, issued the list of holidays for the calendar year 2026.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It specifies public holidays applicable to government offices and educational institutions, covering national, religious, and local observances across the Union Territory.

• It also specifies bank holidays for 2026, under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, indicating days on which banking institutions will remain closed.

• The holiday lists are enclosed below.
