The Ministry of Communications, on December 17, 2025, issued a notification regarding monitoring and measures to Improve Telecom Service Quality.
The following has been stated: -
•TRAI regularly monitors LSA-wise performance of telecom service providers and conducts drive tests to identify deficiencies, sharing findings with TSPs for corrective action.
•To improve coverage and quality of service, the Government is expanding connectivity in uncovered villages under Digital Bharat Nidhi schemes and ensuring adequate spectrum availability through auctions.
•Additional measures include permitting spectrum sharing and trading, simplifying SACFA clearances, and streamlining Right of Way approvals through RoW Rules and the PM GatiShakti Sanchar portal.
