Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on December 16, 2025, notified regarding the applicability of Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) for Turmeric effective January 7, 2026.

It states that due to significantly high–low price variation, an E-ASM (Enhanced Additional Surveillance Measure) of 2.5% has been re-triggered for Turmeric contracts based on the 5-day movement threshold. The measure applies to all existing and upcoming Turmeric contracts, effective from December 16, 2025, and will remain in force until January 7, 2026. No E-ASM is currently applicable to other listed commodities, except Coriander, where applicability continues till December 31, 2025.
