The Government of Nagaland on August 30, 2025, notified regarding the consolidated guidelines revising the validity period and fee structure for Inner Line Permit (ILP).
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has issued consolidated guidelines for the Inner Line Permit (ILP) under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873, superseding all earlier notifications to streamline and standardize the ILP regime.
• The notification revises the validity periods and fee structure for different categories of ILPs, aiming to simplify procedures and improve administrative efficiency.
• It clearly defines eligibility, documentation requirements, and authorities responsible for issuance and renewal of permits across the State.
• The revised framework seeks to balance the regulated entry of non-indigenous persons with the facilitation of genuine visitors, workers, and professionals entering Nagaland.
