The Department of General Administration, Government of Goa, on December 17, 2025, notified regarding the Paid Holiday being the Polling Day for General Election.
The following has been stated:-
• The aforesaid holiday shall also be a “paid holiday”, in addition to the holidays indicated in the Notification No. 37/3/2024-GAD-III/4247 dated 22-10-2024 published in the Official Gazette, Series II No. 30 dated 24-10-2024, to the following persons who are entitled to vote at the aforesaid Zilla Panchayat General Elections:-
• Workers of all establishments, including commercial and industrial undertakings in the State of Goa;
• Daily wage/casual workers employed in any business, trade, industrial undertakings, Government departments, State Government Industrial Departments or any other establishments.
