•Detailed technical, infrastructural, procedural, and manpower requirements are prescribed for laboratories seeking recognition under the Air Act, Water Act, or both. 

•Laboratories must be located in Meghalaya or Assam, follow standard methods, maintain quality systems, and participate in CPCB quality control programs.
