Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on December 19, 2025, notified regarding the applicability of Event based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM).

The following has been stated namely: -

• In accordance with the same, based on the High - Low variation, [(High-Low)/Low x 100], E-ASM of 2.5 percent has been triggered and will be applicable on all the running contracts and yet to be launched contracts in Guar Seed and Guar Gum with effect from the beginning of the day December 23rd, 2025 and would be applicable till January 13th, 2026. 

• The table outlines the trigger dates and applicability of the E-ASM mechanism across selected commodities based on price movement thresholds. For most commodities, no E-ASM trigger is applicable under the 5-day (10%) movement criterion. Under the 10-day (15%) movement criterion, Guar Gum and Guar Seed have E-ASM triggered from 19 December 2025, with applicability continuing till 13 January 2026 for Guar Gum and 13 January 2026 for Guar Seed. Coriander has E-ASM applicability till 31 December 2025, while Turmeric remains under E-ASM till 7 January 2026. Barley, Castor Seed, and Jeera (including Jeera Mini) do not have E-ASM applicability during the period covered.
