Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on December 18, 2025, issued a notification regarding the imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty on Cold Rolled Non-Oriented Electrical Steel from China PR.

The following has been stated: -

•The Designated Authority found that Cold Rolled Non-Oriented Electrical Steel imported from China PR was dumped, causing material injury and threat of further injury to the Indian domestic industry.

•Based on these findings, the Central Government has imposed anti-dumping duty on such imports under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.

•The duty ranges from USD 223.82 per MT for specified Chinese producers to USD 414.92 per MT for other producers and export combinations.

•The anti-dumping duty will remain in force for five years from the date of publication and will be payable in Indian currency.
