Labour ComplianceThe Government of Goa on December 19, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Prohibitory Orders in Connection with Zilla Panchayat Elections – South Goa District

The following has been stated namely: -

• All restaurants, bars, tea shops, paan shops, eateries, and food joints within 200 meters of polling stations and counting centres in Zilla Panchayat Constituencies of South Goa District shall remain closed on polling day (December 20, 2025) and counting day (December 22, 2025) during the specified hours.

• Gathering of more than five persons is prohibited within 200 meters of polling stations in the Zilla Panchayat Constituencies of South Goa District.

• The order does not apply to public servants on duty, authorised election officials, or bona fide marriage, funeral, and religious processions; violation will attract penal action.
