The Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR) on December 12, 2025, issued a notification regarding a New Feature to Flag KYC Records of Deceased Customers in CKYCRR.
The following has been stated: -
•CKYCRR has introduced a new feature allowing Reporting Entities to flag KYC records of deceased customers through the Update KYC process with supporting details and documents.
•Once marked “Deceased,” all linked Reporting Entities will receive notifications, and such records will not be available for download, though searchable with an ‘X’ prefixed KYC ID.
•The feature is currently available in the test environment, and entities should update their systems accordingly.
•The changes go live from December 19, 2025, 8:00 pm, with the revised Update file structure (v1.3) available on the CKYCRR website.
