The Government of Manipur, on December 18, 2025, issued the Draft Lilong (Thoubal) Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Bye-Laws regulate planning, design, and construction of buildings within the jurisdiction of the Lilong (Thoubal) Municipal Council.
•They prescribe standards for land use, building height, setbacks, floor area ratio, and structural safety.
•The Bye-Laws aim to ensure orderly urban development, public safety, and environmental compliance.
•They also outline procedures for approvals, penalties for violations, and enforcement by the Municipal Council.
Any objection(s)/suggestion(s) may be submitted within 7 days from December 18, 2025.
