The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on December 19, 2025, issued a notification regarding strengthening efforts for achieving targets under SPREE.
The following has been stated: -
• A special campaign “SPREE” is being conducted from July 01 to December 31, 2025, to promote registration of employers and employees under the ESI Act.
•The national target is to cover 2.5 crore employees, but progress is currently below the stipulated target.
•With the campaign nearing completion, the Competent Authority has directed intensification of efforts to achieve the target.
•Field Offices, RO/SROs are instructed to ensure urgent, proactive engagement, including weekend deployment, to maximize registrations and outreach.
