The Government of Karnataka on December 17, 2025, issued the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (Amendment) Bill, 2025, further to amend the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, 2007.
The following has been stated: -
•In section 2, in clause (n), after the word “ dispensary” the words “or mental health establishment” shall be inserted.
•In the table for item (d) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(d) one member from the Indian Medical Association and one member representing the Association of registered medical Establishments or Ayush Medical Practitioners Members.”
It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from September 29, 2025.
