The Government of Nagaland, on December 15, 2025, issued the Guidelines for Registration and Regulation of Coaching Centres in the State of Nagaland 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Guidelines, 2025 aim to regulate coaching centres in Nagaland by setting minimum standards, protecting student interests, promoting holistic development, and ensuring career guidance and counselling.
•Coaching centres must register with the District Administration, undergo verification and inspection, and obtain a two-year registration (₹5,000), renewable every two years (₹2,000).
•Registration is mandatory for all centres (including existing ones within three months and each branch separately), and only registered centres may operate.
•Conditions prohibit misleading claims, underage enrolment, unqualified tutors, inadequate infrastructure, and require transparency, counselling systems, legal compliance, and audited accounts for renewal.
