The Government of Jharkhand, on December 15, 2025, issued a notification regarding Holidays for 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Governor of Jharkhand has declared holidays for 2026 under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Schedule-1), Executive Orders (Schedule-2), and Bank Annual Closing (Schedule-3).
•Schedule-1 lists 21 gazetted holidays, including national, religious, and regional festivals, with some observances omitted as they fall on Sundays.
•Schedule-2 specifies additional state government office closures, excluding those already falling on Sundays.
•Schedule-3 declares April 01, 2026, as the annual bank closing holiday, applicable only to banks and not regular government offices.
