Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPS&W), on December 22, 2025, notified regarding the enforcement date of certain provisions of Recycling of Ships Act, 2019.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Central Government hereby appoints December 24, 2025, as the date on which provisions of the following sections of the said Act shall come into force, namely:-

• sub-section (3) of section 1;

• section 2;

• sections 4 and 5;

• sections 7 to 29 [both inclusive];

• sections 31 to 41[both inclusive]; and

• sections 44 to 46 [both inclusive].
