The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on December 22, 2025, notified regarding the Settlement holidays for MFSS for the calendar year 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It notifies the official settlement holidays for the Mutual Fund Service System (MFSS) segment for the year 2026, specifying dates when settlements will not take place due to public and market holidays.
• The list includes major national and regional holidays such as Republic Day, Holi (Second Day), Ram Navami, Good Friday, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, and others where MFSS settlement activity will be suspended.
• Holidays due to annual bank closing and significant cultural/religious festivals like Bakri Id, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, and Diwali (Bali Pratipada) are also included, impacting the settlement calendar.
• The circular separately lists holidays that fall on weekends (Saturday/Sunday) — such as Mahashivratri, Ramzan-Id, Independence Day, and Diwali Amavasya — which are recognized but do not affect weekday settlement operations.
