The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on December 24, 2025, notified regarding the Final redemption under Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme - Redemption Price for final redemption of SGB 2017-18 Series-XIII due on December 26, 2025.
It states that the redemption price is determined based on the simple average of the closing price of 999 purity gold for the three business days preceding the redemption date, as published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd. (IBJA). Accordingly, for redemption on December 26, 2025, the price has been fixed at ₹13,563 per unit of SGB, calculated using gold prices of 22, 23, and 24 December 2025.
