The Labour and Skills Department, Government of Kerala, on December 19, 2025, notified the revised minimum rates of wages payable to classes of employees employed in agricultural operations and allied sectors, such as dairy farms, nurseries, and cashew plantations.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The notification prescribes updated daily wage rates for various categories of agricultural workers, taking into account skill levels and the nature of work, with corresponding revisions in the dearness allowance linked to the cost of living.
• These revised rates are intended to ensure fair remuneration and livelihood protection for agricultural labourers amid rising living expenses.
• Employers engaged in agricultural operations are mandatorily required to pay wages not less than the revised minimum rates as notified.
