The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on December 23, 2025, issued the Trading holidays for calendar year 2026 for Debt Segments.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Exchange will observe 19 trading holidays during 2026 for the Debt Segment on account of national festivals, religious observances, and bank closing days.
• 4 holidays fall on Saturdays/Sundays, including Mahashivratri, Id-Ul-Fitr, Independence Day/Parsi New Year, and Diwali Laxmi Pujan.
• Although Diwali Laxmi Pujan (November 08, 2026) falls on a Sunday, Muhurat Trading will be conducted, with timings to be announced separately.
