The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on December 24, 2025, notified regarding the Settlement Holidays for the Calendar Year 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Members and Custodians are hereby informed that the ICCL shall observe following Settlement Holidays during the Calendar Year 2026.
• The list includes major national and regional holidays such as Republic Day, Holi (Second Day), Ram Navami, Good Friday, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, and others.
• Holidays due to annual bank closing and significant cultural/religious festivals like Bakri Id, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, and Diwali (Bali Pratipada) are also included, impacting the settlement calendar.
• The circular separately lists holidays that fall on weekends (Saturday/Sunday) — such as Mahashivratri, Ramzan-Id, Independence Day, and Diwali Amavasya — which are recognized but do not affect weekday settlement operations.
