The Government of Manipur, on December 24, 2025, notified the Thongkhong Laxmi Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Thongkhong Laxmi Municipal Council has formally adopted and notified the “Thongkhong Laxmi Municipal Council Building Bye-Laws, 2025” after no objections were received to the draft, publishing them in the Manipur Gazette under powers of the Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994.
•The Bye-Laws regulate building construction and development within the jurisdiction of the Thongkhong Laxmi Municipal Council.
•They lay down rules on building permissions, land use, structural safety, and compliance with planning norms.
•Their objective is to promote planned development, public safety, and orderly urban growth.
