The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on December 26, 2025, issued a notice revising the conversion factors used for monitoring the aggregate position limit of USD 100 million equivalent across currency derivative contracts in GBP-INR, EUR-INR and JPY-INR, in continuation of earlier Exchange notices dated April 30, 2015 and April 03, 2018.
The revised conversion factors, effective from January 29, 2026, are: USD to EURO – 0.86, USD to GBP – 0.75, and USD to JPY – 153.71. These factors shall be used for computing equivalent USD exposure for the purpose of monitoring position limits across exchanges. The conversion factor notified earlier vide Exchange notice dated September 25, 2025 shall continue to apply up to January 28, 2026.
Trading Members and entities are required to ensure that positions across exchanges remain within the prescribed USD 100 million equivalent limit. In case of excess positions, disclosure of underlying exposure must be obtained from clients, and Trading Members must also comply with the position limits specified under the Exchange notice dated April 30, 2015.
