The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), on December 24, 2025, issued a technical circular announcing the introduction of a new Partition 5, effective December 29, 2025, as part of its system and capacity enhancement initiatives. Initially, all Agri products including Cardamom, Cotton, Cotton Seed Wash Oil, Kapas and Mentha Oil will be migrated to the new partition.
MCX has informed that any changes in product–partition assignments will be reflected in the master reference data file (Mcxscrip.bcp) available on the Exchange SFTP. Members are advised to make the necessary system changes and test the same during the mock trading session scheduled on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Further, all pending GTD and GTC orders for Agri products will be cancelled at end of day on December 26, 2025, and members using ETI API applications are required to update partition-specific messages.
From a market data perspective, EMDI will introduce a new Stream 5, while EOBI will disseminate Agri products’ tick-by-tick data through Stream 2. Snapshot IP and port details are provided in the earlier mock circular, and stream changes will be reflected in the Stream Master on SFTP. Members are requested to take note that these changes will go live from December 29, 2025, and ensure full compliance and system readiness.
