The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), on December 24, 2025, has issued an order under Paragraph 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, computing the retail price based on May 2025 data for a scheduled formulation containing Gliclazide IP 30 mg (Modified Release) + Metformin Hydrochloride IP 500 mg (Extended Release).
The price fixation pertains to the formulation manufactured by M/s Mascot Health Series Pvt. Ltd. and marketed by M/s Primus Remedies Pvt. Ltd. Upon examination of price data and applicable methodology, the worked-out retail price has been determined at ₹7.92 per tablet (excluding GST), as against the claimed price of ₹8.00 (excluding GST).
Accordingly, NPPA has approved the proposed retail price at ₹7.92 per tablet (excluding GST), which shall be applicable in accordance with the provisions of the DPCO, 2013.
