The University Grants Commission (UGC) on December 26, 2025, issued a notification regarding the submission of a report on the observance of "Sexual Harassment Prevention Week".
The following has been stated: -
•The Ministry of Education, vide email dated December 12, 2025, forwarded a D.O. letter dated December 10, 2025, from MWCD informing that December 10, 2025, to December 17, 2025, was observed as Sexual Harassment Prevention Week under the 2013 Act.
•All Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) are requested to submit a brief report of activities undertaken during the week, with intimation to the UGC.
•Activities include constitution/revamping of ICC, updating details on Saksham and SHe-Box portals, conducting awareness programmes, and disposal of pending complaints.
