The Government of Rajasthan, on December 05, 2025, notified the Model Rajasthan Building Regulations, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Model Rajasthan Building Regulations, 2025 (Model Rajasthan Bhavan Viniyam, 2025) were issued by the Department of Urban Development and Housing, Government of Rajasthan, and notified on May 12, 2025.
•The regulations apply to all local body areas in Rajasthan and are enforced under powers granted by the Rajasthan Municipal Act, 2009, and various Development Authority Acts.
•They lay down comprehensive provisions covering building approval criteria, construction norms, environmental safeguards, accessibility for persons with special needs, procedures, penalties, and certification.
•Key definitions classify urban bodies and areas, competent authorities, and building types, including residential buildings, independent residences, flats, group housing, and farm/eco-friendly houses.
