Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on December 29, 2025, notified regarding the Applicability of Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) till January 19, 2026.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Based on the High–Low price variation formula (High–Low)/Low×100(High–Low) / Low × 100 (High-Low)/Low×100, the E-ASM of 2.5% has been re-triggered and made applicable to all running and yet-to-be-launched contracts in Guar Seed, Guar Gum, and Turmeric. 

• This enhanced surveillance measure will remain in force up to January 19, 2026, to manage price volatility in these commodities. The trigger was activated due to significant price movements observed over the specified monitoring periods. 

• As per the applicability details, Guar Gum triggered E-ASM under both 5-day (10%) and 10-day (15%) movements on December 29, 2025, Guar Seed under the 10-day movement, and Turmeric under the 5-day movement. 

• Other commodities such as Barley, Castor Seed, and Jeera did not meet the threshold for E-ASM applicability during the review period.
