The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on December 30, 2025, notified regarding the applicability of Event based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) for Guar Gum.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In accordance with the same, based on the High - Low variation, [(High-Low)/Low x 100], E-ASM of 2.5 percent has been re-triggered and will be applicable on all the running contracts and yet to be launched contracts in Guar Seed and Guar Gum till January 20th, 2026.
• The table outlines the trigger dates and applicability period of the E-ASM framework across selected agricultural commodities based on price variation thresholds. Barley, castor seed, and jeera (including jeera mini) are not subject to E-ASM, as no trigger dates or applicability periods are specified for them. Coriander does not have defined trigger dates for either 5-day (10%) or 10-day (15%) movements, but E-ASM remains applicable until 31 December 2025. Guar gum and guar seed both have E-ASM triggers activated on 30 December 2025 for both 5-day and 10-day price movements, with applicability extending up to 20 January 2026. Turmeric does not have specified trigger dates, but E-ASM measures apply to it until 19 January 2026.
