The Government of Manipur on November 27, 2025, issued the Holiday List for 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Governor of Manipur has declared the holidays listed in Annexure-I as General Holidays for the calendar year 2026.
• Government employees may avail two Restricted Holidays from the list provided in Annexure-II, in addition to the General Holidays.
• The festival at Sl. No. 14 of Annexure-I may be replaced in Hill Districts and Manipur Bhawans (Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati) with locally important holidays, subject to government approval by January 31, 2026.
• The replaced festival may still be observed as a Restricted Holiday in the Hill Districts and Manipur Bhawans.
• Under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881, the days listed in Annexure-III are declared as Public Holidays for Manipur for 2026.
