The Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, on December 22, 2025, issued a notification regarding the declaration of Holidays for 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Administrator has declared holidays for the Union Territory for the year 2026 under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
•Part I lists holidays applicable to all Government, Semi-Government offices, local bodies, and commercial banks.
•Part II specifies restricted holidays, from which employees may avail any two, and
•Part III covers NI Act holidays for industrial establishments and PSUs.
•All notified holidays are paid holidays, with specific provisions for commercial banks, including State Bank of India, handling government transactions.
