Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on December 30, 2025, issued a public notice extending the due date for submission of comments, suggestions, and objections on the Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2025. The draft regulations were earlier notified for stakeholder consultation with the original deadline of December 30, 2025, and a public hearing scheduled for January 2, 2026.

Considering requests received from stakeholders, the Commission has decided to extend the last date for submission of comments to January 15, 2026. Consequently, the previously scheduled public hearing has been deferred and will now be conducted on a later date. The Commission has clarified that a separate notice will be issued to inform stakeholders about the rescheduled public hearing.

Stakeholders may submit their comments, suggestions, or objections in the prescribed manner, either by sending hard copies along with a soft copy to the Secretary, CERC, or through email at the notified official email addresses. This extension aims to ensure broader participation and meaningful stakeholder engagement in the tariff regulatory framework.
