The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on January 16, 2026, issued the notification regarding ensuring timely payment to vendors and updating payment status on GEM Portal by all ESIC Medical Institutions.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Delays in updating payment status on the GeM Portal have caused vendor grievances and adverse remarks, which have been taken seriously by the Competent Authority.
• All payments must be released within the stipulated time as per GeM guidelines and contract terms, and payment status must be updated promptly on the portal.
• Any delay in payment or non-updation must be properly justified, recorded, and monitored, with Deans/Medical Superintendents held personally responsible.
• Non-compliance may lead to administrative action, all institutions must circulate these instructions and ensure strict adherence.
