The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MoEIT), on January 19, 2026, issued the extension in timelines for the implementation of the Order for product categories included in the schedule of CRO vide S.O. 1929(E) published in Gazette of India on April 26, 2023 regarding the Television Set.
The following has been stated, namely:-
• The Central Government, vide S.O. no 1929 (E) published in Gazette of India on 26th April, 2023, had added “Television Sets” at Sl. No 64 of the Schedule of the “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021” for compliance with IS 18112:2022. The date of coming into effect of the Order was January 26, 2026.
• It is hereby notified that the date of implementation of the Order stands extended to July 26, 2026.
