The Government of Karnataka, on January 19, 2026, issued a notification regarding providing the Digital E-Stamp service to the public through the Kaveri software.
The following has been stated: -
•Karnataka has introduced Digital E-Stamping through the Kaveri-2 software to eliminate stamp duty fraud and revenue leakage.
•The Karnataka Stamp (Digital E-Stamp) Rules, 2025, enable citizens to obtain e-stamps online from home without intermediaries.
•The move addresses issues like forged documents, fake stamps, and misclassification of stamp duty.
•Kaveri-2 is officially notified as the Digital E-Stamp Application to support fully digital property registration.
