The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) on January 22, 2026, notified regarding the continuation of Productivity Norms for Handling Ammonium Nitrate and Scrap at Paradip Port.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Board has approved the continuation of the existing productivity norms for handling Ammonium Nitrate (in bags) and Scrap, along with all prevailing terms and conditions. The approved norms prescribe productivity of 2,500 MT per day for Ammonium Nitrate vessels handled at CQ-1, CQ-2, SQ and MPB berths, and 2,000 MT per day for vessels handled at NQ-2 and NQ-3 berths, with no incentive/penalty scheme applicable for Ammonium Nitrate vessels at CQ-3 and NDC (Mooring Berth).
• For scrap cargo, a productivity norm of 3,000 MT per day has been fixed for vessels handled at CQ-1, CQ-2, SQ, MPB, NQ-2, and NQ-3 berths.
• The existing rates, method of calculation, and other conditions of the performance-norm-based incentive and penalty scheme shall continue to apply.
• These norms shall be effective from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026, and will be reviewed thereafter as required.
