The Paradipp Port Authority (PPA) on January 22, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Implementation of Engine-on-Load (EOL) Scheme at the RRS-1 & RRS-2 of ADB Coal Handling Paradip Plant of Paradip Port (Alpha Code: PPAP) served by Paradeep station of East Coast Railway under Port Authority (PPA).
The following has been stated namely: -
• The chargeable distance for traffic at RRS-1 & RRS-2 will continue to be calculated as PRDP + 8.00 km, as applicable earlier.
• EOL free time as notified by the Railway Administration will apply for loading and unloading operations, and no Engine Hire Charges (EHC) will be levied within this free time.
• For BOBR hopper rakes, the EOL free time is 3:00 hours for loading and 2:00 hours for unloading, beyond free time, EHC and demurrage charges will apply as per Railway rules.
• There will be no Wagon Hire Charges at RRS-1 & RRS-2, and all applicable demurrage and engine hire charges will be billed and collected directly by East Coast Railway from the consignor/consignee.
