The Government of Rajasthan, on January 27, 2026, issued amendments in the Excise and Temperance Policy 2025–29.
The following has been stated: -
•The policy for 2026–27 introduces a 12.5% increase in annual guarantee and reserve prices for retail liquor shops, along with revised application and godown fees.
•Wholesale issue prices for Country Liquor and RML are increased by 5%, with revised excise duty slabs and retail price ranges.
•IMFL/Beer/Wine duties are updated, with concessions for Army canteens and incentives for microbreweries to promote tourism.
•The amended provisions will be effective from April 01, 2026, while other policy terms remain unchanged.
