Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL), on January 28, 2026, has released the Settlement Calendar and timelines for submission of delivery intentions for all futures contracts expiring in February 2026.

The circular outlines settlement types based on delivery logic, key tender and expiry dates, schedules for physical settlement, premium/discount settlement, GST settlement, and timelines for invoice upload and buyer confirmation. It also reiterates rules on compulsory delivery, staggered delivery mechanism, penalties for delivery defaults, repeated defaults, and restrictions on squaring off positions in intention matching contracts.

Members are advised to strictly adhere to the prescribed timelines and processes to avoid penalties and ensure smooth settlement.
