Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on January 29, 2026, issued a circular regarding the applicability of Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin for certain commodities.

The following has been stated: -

•NCDEX has re-triggered Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% due to high price volatility.

•The E-ASM applies to all running and yet-to-be-launched contracts in Guar Gum and Turmeric.

•The margin will remain in force until February 18, 2026.

•All other applicable margins will continue to be levied as per existing rules.
