Industry Specific ComplianceThe Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on January 27, 2026, issued directions regarding the submission of the Performance Monitoring Report to the Authority under the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018.

The following has been stated: -

•Access Providers must maintain systems to identify senders from any telecom resource used for commercial communications.

•They must furnish complete sender identification details, including name, category (individual/enterprise), and other unique identifiers.

•Details of all telecom resources provided by the Access Provider to the sender must be captured and shared.

•Information on telecom resources obtained by the same sender from other Access Providers must also be made available.

•These systems must be accessible to TRAI for real-time monitoring and regulatory verification.
