Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on January 30, 2026, issued a circular regarding the applicability of Event based Additional Surveillance Margin across commodities.

The following has been stated: -

•NCDEX has re-triggered Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% based on price volatility criteria.

•The E-ASM is applicable to all running and forthcoming Turmeric contracts from January 30, 2026.

•This margin will remain in force up to February 19, 2026, while other commodities remain unaffected or have separate applicability dates.

•All other applicable margins shall continue to be levied as per existing norms.
