The Government of Himachal Pradesh, on January 28, 2026, issued the Draft Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development and Registration of Tourism Trade (Amendment) Rules, 2025, further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development and Registration of Tourism Trade Rules, 2012.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 4 is updated to require online submission through the e-service portal instead of a demand draft or cash, and revises fee calculations for tourism units and renewal of certificates. The fee for renewal of registration is fixed at 100% of the original registration fee.
•Rule 5 is amended to reduce the renewal period from every 3 years to every 2 years.
Objections and suggestions to these draft rules can be submitted within 30 days.
