Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on January 28, 2026, notified regarding the 4th Reallocation of Export Quota for export during Sugar Season 2025-26 and consequent adjustment of Monthly release quantity on account of exchange of export quantity with domestic monthly release quantity.

The following has been stated:

• This reallocation allows inter-se adjustment of export quotas among sugar mills based on mutual consent, whereby mills opting to export additional quantities can obtain export quota in exchange for surrendering an equivalent quantity of their domestic monthly release quota. 

• The revised, mill-wise export and domestic quota adjustments are specified in the annexure to the notification and are binding on the concerned mills. 

• The measure aims to provide operational flexibility to sugar mills while ensuring balanced domestic availability of sugar and regulated exports in line with Government policy.
